Mikko Myllylahti is a Finnish poet, screenwriter and film director born and raised in Lapland. He wrote the screenplay of Juho Kuosmanen's The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki which won Un Certain Regard Grand Prize in 2016. His short film The Tiger was presented at La Semaine de la Critique in 2018. He participated in Next Step the same year with his feature debut projet The Woodcutter Story which went on to be selected for Semaine in 2022. He is an award-winning poet whose published collections gained critical acclaim.
