Charter of the Syndicat Français de la Critique de Cinéma and La Semaine De La Critique
With the present charter, the Syndicat Français de la Critique de Cinéma asserts the fundamental principles of its action.
Members, collaborators, service providers, partners, guests and volunteers of the Syndicat Français de la Critique de Cinéma and Semaine de la Critique are bound by the principles set out herein. They acknowledge that they will comply with all legal provisions and measures implemented by the Syndicat Français de la Critique de Cinéma et de la Semaine de la Critique. They are deemed to have taken note of the means and resources contained in the text.
The present charter aims to :
• mobilize and empower all company members in the prevention of moral and sexual
harassment and gender-based and sexual violence.
• provide victims with the resources they need to inform and defend themselves.
• set up a clear procedure enabling victims to assert their rights and deal with their situation
appropriately.
Moral, sexist and sexual violence constitute a serious violation of fundamental human rights, are strictly prohibited by law and are liable to criminal penalties.
Respect for human beings and their physical integrity is a core value of the Syndicat Français de la Critique de Cinéma.
The SFCC asserts its commitment to respect for human rights, equality between men and women, and the protection of children and adolescents. It firmly rejects all forms of sexual, sexist or discriminatory violence.
All SFCC employees, volunteers, partners, service providers and guests are bound by the absolute prohibition of any form of sexual or gender-based violence, as well as any abusive, defamatory or discriminatory language or language that undermines the dignity of individuals.
The SFCC asserts that no impunity will be granted within its organization to the perpetrators of moral, sexist or sexual violence. It commits to take all necessary measures to put an end to any criminal behavior or discourse brought to the attention of its managers or referents, who, where appropriate, will be able to report them to the competent authorities.
Sanctions will be applied in accordance with the seriousness of the offence, up to and including exclusion from events organized by the SFCC.
