Revealed at La Semaine de la Critique, part of the Official Selection this year!

French director Arnaud Desplechin will present his new feature film Brother and Sister in competition at the Cannes Film Festival. He presented his first film La Vie des morts in competition at la Semaine de la Critique in 1991.

Next to him, Davy Chou, winner of the SACD prize for his film Diamond Island at la Semaine de la Critique, will also be in Cannes at Un Certain Regard with his second feature Back to Seoul.

Hlynur Pálmason will present his third film Vanskabte Land (Volaða Land) at Un Certain Regard. He presented his film Hvítur, Hvítur Dagur in competition at la Semaine de la Critique in 2019.

Polish director Agnieszka Smoczyńska who presented her film Fugue in competition at la Semaine de la Critique in 2018, will present her third film Silent Twins at Un Certain Regard.

Finaly, Quentin Dupieux, who came to present his film Rubber in special screening at the 49th Semaine de la Critique, will present his new feature film Fumer fait tousser in midnight screenings at the Cannes Film Festival.

Director Vytautas Katkus will present his new short film Uogos in official competition at the Cannes Film Festival. He presented his film Kolektyviniai sodai at la Semaine de la Critique in 2019.

Father & soldier is the second feature film by director, screenwriter and cinematographer Mathieu Vadepied, it will be presented at the opening of Un Certain Regard. The director presented at la Semaine de la Critique his short movie Mille soleils in 2005 and his first feature film La Vie en grand in 2015.

Franco-Iranian director Emily Atef will present her film More Than Ever at Un Certain Regard. She had presented her film Das Fremde In Mir in 2008 at la Semaine de la Critique.

Louis Garrel, who presented Les Deux Amis as special screening in 2015 at la Semaine de la Critique, will present his new film L'Innoncent in the out of competition category.

The Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski will be in official competition with his film Hi-Han, he came to la Semaine de la Critique in 1965 with Walkover.

Director Alice Winocour will present her fourth feature film Paris Memories. In 2012, she presented her first feature film, Augustine, as part of the special screenings at the 51st Semaine de la Critique. 

We will also meet director João Pedro Rodrigues again, who came to present his short film Morning of Saint Athony's Day at the special screenings of la Semaine de la Critique 2012. He will present his new feature film Will-o’-the-Wisp at the Directors’Fortnight.

Director Léa Mysius, winner of the SACD prize for her first feature film Ava at la Semaine de la Critique, will present her second feature film The Five Devils at Directors’Fortnight.

Finally, director Nicolas Pariser, who came to present his short film Agit Pop in competition at la Semaine de la Critique 2013, will close this year's edition of the Directors’Fortnight with his third feature film, The Green Perfume.

Director Damien Manivel, selected in competition at la Semaine de la Critique 2012 with his short film A sunday morning, will present his new feature film Magdala at the ACID.
