Aude N’Guessan Forget
After her theatre training, Aude N’Guessan Forget worked as an actress. In 2021, she joined the Fémis Residency Programme, where she directed Anansi, a short film screened at many festivals (Award for Outstanding Performance, National Competition at the 2023 Clermont Ferrand Short Film Festival), and later broadcasted on Arte. Man’mi is her first short film outside of film school. Largely inspired by the director’s deeply personal experience, the story resonates with contemporary issues regarding racial bias in pain perception.
