6th HOHOA PRIZE - BEST SCENARIO OF OVERSEAS DEPARTMENT SHORT FILM

Organized by RFO and Invariance Noire

The sixth edition of HOHOA Prize is chaired by Jacques Martial, actor, director and president of the Grand Halle de la Vilette.
This Prize joins is an approache of promotion of the ultamarine spaces cinema, not well known at the national and international level.
The competition is opened to all the natives of french overseas department for scenarios that reflect the sociocultural specifities of these regions. 

Among scenarios received this year, 10 are in preselection and are subjected to the jury (11 members). The HIHIO PRIZE will be awarded on May 20th,2008 within the framework of La Semaine de la Critique. For this occasion, 3 films will be screened : Anbafey  by  Dominique Duport  Guadeloupe (2nd Prize, 2004), Le nom du père by Olivier Baudot Montézume - Martinique (First Prize,  2003) and l’Égaré by Frédéric Kuhn- Saint Pierre et Miquelon (Third Prize 2005).
RFO gives a 3000 euros Prize and makes a commitment to co-produce and broadcast the awarded films.
