Yacine Badday
Yacine Badday writes for film and television. After several short films written with director Chloé Mazlo, he co-wrote her debut feature Skies of Lebanon, which was selected for Cannes - Critics' Week in 2020 and was the recipient of the 2022 Best French First Film Award from the French Film Critics' Union. He also co-wrote the screenplay for Our Eternal summer by Émilie Aussel (Special Jury Prize, Cinéastes du présent - Locarno 2021), Acide by Just Philippot (Official Selection Cannes 2023 - Midnight screening) and Little Jaffna by Lawrence Valin (Critics' Week - Venice 2024 ; Toronto 2024). More recently, he collaborated on the screenplay for Coeur fou, Axel Courtière's debut feature film (in production). He is currently co-writing Capitaine Mbaye, Joël Karekezi's second feature film, as well as screenplays with directors Chloé Mazlo and Nicolas Birkenstock.
