Thomas van Zuylen
With a degree in filmmaking from the I.A.D, Thomas van Zuylen has developed a career as a documentary filmmaker that led him to co-write, with filmmaker Joachim Lafosse, the films The White Knights, After Love (Directors' Fortnight, Cannes 2016), Keep Going (Mostra 2018) and A Silence (San Sebastian 2023). At the same time, he co-wrote several directors' first or second feature films, including Baloji's Omen, which won the New Voice Award in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, and Alexe Poukine's Kika, selected for La Semaine de la Critique 2025 - Cannes.
Thomas van Zuylen also provides numerous consulting and script-doctoring services and occasionally participates in writing workshops as an expert. Through his many encounters, he has built up an extensive network throughout the French-speaking world. He enjoys supporting and developing film and theatre projects, from their conception to their release. For the past eight years, he has been co-writing plays for the Brussels-based theatre company Still Live.
