Santiago Dolan

Born in Buenos Aires, Santiago Dolan is a film composer. After studying classical guitar in Uruguay and composition in Argentina, he moved to France, where he developed a career as a composer for film and visual media.

He has composed music for numerous short films, documentaries, and feature films, collaborating with filmmakers in both France and Argentina. In 2023, he composed the score for Puan (El Profesor), directed by María Alché and Benjamín Naishtat. For this soundtrack, he received the Premio Sur in 2024, awarded by the Argentine Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences, as well as the Martín Fierro, presented by the Association of Argentine Television and Radio Journalists, in the category of Best Original Music.

His approach to composition is rooted in a dialogue between musical heritage and contemporary writing. By blending different cultural traditions, he conceives of music as a space for interpretation that extends the narrative and offers a complementary reading of it.
