Launch of the 6th edition of Nespresso Talents

For the sixth consecutive year, Nespresso challenges the directors all across the globe to take part in a unique 3mns vertical (9/16) short film contest. The call for application is now open on Nespresso Talents' website until May 16th.

Filmmakers are invited to explore the 2021 theme «Doing is Everything». Because what matters is to act. And who better than a filmmaker to create, through a simple gesture, a random action, a positive impact?

Innovation will also be rewarded this year, with the Film School Award ! Nespresso Talents is dedicated to tomorrow's film directors with the creation of this special prize.

The 2021 jury for the International Selection of Nespresso Talents is made of Chinese actor Mark Chao, explorer Mike Horn, French actress Zita Hanrot, Mexican writer and director Faride Schroeder as well as French and Rwandese actress Sonia Rolland.

The jury members of the French Selection of Nespresso Talents are professor of economics and writer Jacques Attali, French actress Zita Hanrot, editor in chief of Allociné Yoann Sardet, Artistic Director of La Semaine de la Critique Charles Tesson and French and Rwandese actress Sonia Rolland.

The Nespresso Film School Award wille be awarded by the Hollywood Reporter American film critic Jordan Mintzer, La Semaine de la Critique's Program Manager Thomas Rosso as well as French film at Critikat and Bref, Chloé Cavillier.

The three winners of the International Selection and the winner of the Nespresso Film School Award will all be invited in at the Festival de Cannes 2021 and will benefit from a mentoring session with La Semaine de la Critique. The three winners of the French Selection are also invited to the Festival de Cannes 2021. €50,000 in total rewards are up for grabs!
