Alma Viva in french theaters

Alma Viva, the first film of the portuguese and french filmmaker Cristèle Alves Meira, presented at the 61st Semaine de la Critique's competition released in french theaters on Wednesday, April 12th. 

Cristèle Alves Meira was part of th 3rd Next Step promotion. After Campo de víboras and Invisível Herói, presented at La Semaine de la Critique, Alma Viva is distributed by Tandem and produced by Fluxus Films, Midas Filmes et Entre Chien et Loup.

Synopsis
Like every summer, little Salomé returns to her family village nestled in the Portuguese mountains for the holidays. As the vacations begin in a carefree atmosphere, her beloved grandmother suddenly dies. While the adults are tearing each other apart over the funeral, Salomé is haunted by the spirit of the one who was considered a witch.
