Jela Hasler’s first two short films premiered in Locarno, before presenting Über Wasser On Solid Ground at La Semaine de la Critique in 2021. The same year, the documentary feature Les Nouvelles Èves, co-directed in a collective, was released. Her last two shorts, Über Wasser and La gravidité, were both awarded the Swiss Film Prize. With her debut feature To Put Out One Fire, Jela had participated a first time in Next Step in 2023, after going through programs such as Alliance4Development and LIM.
