About Invisível Herói (Invisible Hero)

by Thomas Fouet

Wandering around Lisbon looking for a Cape Verdean, seeing time go by one encounter after another: such is Duarte’s schedule, a fifty year old, blind man. Celebrating words too (the texture of literature, touching it), singing, dancing and swimming in the sea. What the author conveys is not only somebody's relation to the world, but also one thousand and one ways of feeling the world, using each and every one of his senses, but one. No matter, we are here to compensate for it – although our hero doesn’t seem to mind. A gem of a man, of a city and of a film.
