A word from our partners
Ami Paris pursues its commitment to cinema and emerging filmmakers as it remains the main partner of Cannes’ Semaine de la Critique’s for a second consecutive year. An international jury will award the Ami Paris Grand Prize to one of the seven films in competition for this 65th edition, following Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke’s win with A Useful Ghost in 2025.
“The house is proud to renew the partnership between Ami Paris and La Semaine de la Critique for a second year; it is an opportunity for us not only to support emerging talents but also to build connections between two creative industries: fashion and cinema.”
Alexandre Mattiussi, Founder and Creative Director, Ami Paris.

For the past 65 years, La Semaine de la Critique has been supporting the first steps of short- and feature-film directors from around the world with unwavering passion. It pays close attention as artists venture off the beaten path to reinvent storytelling and experiment with new cinematic languages. Each new generation contributes to the history of cinema. It is captivating to see it unfold – for La Semaine de la Critique it is a constantly renewed source of joy to be carried away by these filmmakers’ imagination. The parallel selection of the Cannes Film Festival dedicated to first and second films, La Semaine de la Critique will be held in Cannes from 13 to 21 May 2026.
Alexandre Mattuissi channels his passion for cinema into supporting young creators. Collaborating with La Semaine de la Critique, known as a place for firsts, was a natural choice for the Fashion House, reasserting its desire to foster the discovery of the filmmakers of tomorrow.
