65th Semaine de la Critique

 “To make a film is to look for something you do not yet know,” said Claire Denis. 

This quest – driven by exploration and boldness – lies at the very core of La Semaine de La Critique, which every year reveals fresh perspectives and distinctive works. 

Région Île-de-France, which has made cinema a central pillar of its cultural policy and support for emerging talents a priority, is thrilled to renew its commitment to La Semaine de la Critique. 

We are also particularly proud to see the works of directors we have supported be rewarded, such as Déni Oumar Pitsaev’s Imago, Momoko Seto’s Planets, and Pauline Loquès’s Nino, which won prizes in 2025. 

We also commend the commitment of Ava Cahen and the French Union of Film Critics in championing distinctive and bold voices. 

We wish you all a Semaine de la Critique brimming with discoveries, emotions, and encounters.
