About Interfon 15 (Intercom 15)

by Nanako Tsukidate

The corpse of a woman is found in front of her apartment building. Who is she? It is the first time her neighbours take an interest in her story. Interfon 15 addresses a typically Romanian theme and tells the universal story of a life as it passes away in complete indifference. Andrei Epure’s camera shows death's point of view: moving through a deserted, harrowing place, he cleverly goes beyond the rules of genre films where fear of becoming invisible is ubiquitous.
