La Semaine de la Critique unveils the poster of its 57th edition

For this year's poster for La Semaine de la Critique, we are greeted by the rebellious stare of young French actress Noée Abita, who made her debut in Léa Mysius' AVA. Her defiant innocence, captured by photographer Aurélie Lamachère, in collaboration with the agency les bons faiseurs, encapsulates the spirit of this new generation of filmmakers celebrated by this Cannes Festival section dedicated to the discovery of emerging talent.

Helping new filmmakers around the world to thrive also means bringing new faces to the forefront of the international film scene. The actress Jessica Chastain, who attended La Semaine de la Critique with Jeff Nichols, who'd directed her in one of her very first roles, stated "It's incredible to think how much my life has grown since then. It's an honor to be on the poster for 2016's La Semaine de la Critique with a photo from TAKE SHELTER. This was the festival that began my career."

La Semaine de la Critique, which will be held in Cannes from 9 to 17 May, actively supports this new generation of filmmakers and wishes them as much success in their careers.

The selection of La Semaine de la Critique will be announced, online, on April 16th.
