Johanna Pyykkö

Johanna Pyykkö is a Norwegian and Swedish-Finnish filmmaker and screenwriter based in Oslo. A graduate of the Norwegian Film School and the Alma Löv Script Academy, she writes and directs for film and television. Her short film The Manila Lover premiered at La Semaine de la Critique in 2019 and received several international awards. Her debut feature film, My Wonderful Stranger, Next Step project 2019, premiered at Angers Premiers Plans and Göteborg IFF in 2024. It was released in France by Pyramide. The Boy from the Sea is her second feature film.
