Jacques Audiard was born on the 30th of April 1952 in Paris. He began his screenwriting career in the 1980s then his directing career in 1994 with See How They Fall selected at Semaine de la Critique and winner of César Award for Best First Feature Film. He then directed A Self Made Hero (winner of Best Screenplay Award at Cannes Film Festival in 1996), Read My Lips (winner of César Award for Best Screenplay in 2001), The Beat That My Heart Skipped (winner of César Award for Best Film, Best Director and Best Adaptation), A Prophet (winner of César Award for Best Film, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay in 2009), Rust and Bone (2012) and Dheepan (Winner of the Palme d’Or at Cannes Film Festival in 2015).
