Supporting young talents for the future of cinema 

We are convinced that young filmmakers need help to foster their confidence so they may push the envelope, and need the means to create. This is what we strive to do at Région Île-de-France, the number one regional authority in terms of support to filmmaking, as we offer subsidies to all film and television professionals. 

We are proud to take part in this 62nd edition of La Semaine de la Critique with which we share a common commitment to young filmmakers, a common passion for cinema and the urge to convey it to high-school students throughout Île-de-France, during screenings of the selection. 

We commend Avan Cahen - the Artistic Director of La Semaine de la Critique - and the members of the French Union of Film Critics on championing diversity in cinematic creation. 

May this Semaine be emotionally vibrant and full of discoveries.
