Florencia Di Concilio
Winner of the inaugural Michel Legrand Prize, Florencia Di Concilio is one of the most acclaimed composers in contemporary film music. Praised by critics – “delicate and ethereal” (Los Angeles Times), “her music heightens emotions” (Hollywood Reporter), “a powerful composer” (Télérama) – she has created memorable scores for Stranded, Dark Blood, and Calamity, the latter ranked among the 15 best soundtracks of the decade. Her work is rooted in a true creative symbiosis with filmmakers, whom she supports with music that can be intimate (The Super 8 Years), feverish (The Five Devils), or unsettling (Great Expectations). She recently composed for Madame de Sévigné, Terence Davies’ posthumous film, The Victoria System, and The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo by Diego Cespédes, winner of the 2025 Un Certain Regard Grand Prix. Her symphonic works are performed by prestigious international orchestras.
