Revealed at La Semaine de la Critique and part of the Official Selection this year!

David Robert Mitchell will be in competition at the Festival de Cannes with Under the Silver Lake. He was at La Semaine de la Critique in 2010 with his first feature film The Myth of the American Sleepover and in 2014 with his second feature film  It Follows.

Yann Gonzalez, who has presented his first feature film Les rencontres d'après minuit in 2013 et his short film Les Îles en 2017 in special screenings at La Semaine de la Critique, will be in competition at the Festival de Cannes with his second feature film Un couteau dans le cœur (Knife + Heart), starring Vanessa Paradis.

Lee Chang Dong is also selected for the Official Competition with Burning. He was at La Semaine de la Critique in 2003 with Oasis.

The Argentinian director Alejandro Fadel will be selected at Un certain regard with his new film Muere, Monstruo, Muere (Meurs, monstre, meurs). His second feature filmLos Salvages was at La Semaine de la Critique 2012.

In special screenings, Carlos Diegues will be presenting O grande circo mistico and Romain Goupil La traversée.

They were both at La Semaine de la Critique : Carlos Diegues has presented his first feature film Ganga Zumba in 1964 and Romain Goupil his film Half a life for which he won the Caméra d'or.

The Agustín Toscano second feature film El motoarrebatador (The Snatch Thief) is selected at the 50th Directors’ Fortnight. He was in competition at La Semaine de la Critique in 2013 with his first feature film Los Duenos.

For its part, Gaspar Noé will presented his new feature film Climax, also at the 50th Directors’ Fortnight. He has presented 2 films at La Semaine de la Critique : his short film Carne in 1991 and his first feature film Seul contre tous in 1998.
