| SYNOPSIS : Paul, 16 ans, débarque chez son oncle sans y avoir été invité. Ayant perdu récemment son père, il est à la recherche d’un monde idéal et s’immisce dans la famille apparemment parfaite. Après l’avoir rejeté, Anna, sa tante, se rapproche de lui. Paul est attiré par elle. Ce n’est que trop tard qu’il réalise qu’il est sous contrôle, complètement à sa merci. La souffrance de Paul le pousse à un acte de désespoir.
SYNOPSIS : Paul, 16, turns up uninvited to visit his relatives. Having recently lost his father, Paul is searching for an ideal world, and he intrudes upon the seemingly ideal family.
After rejecting him at first, aunt Anna slowly drags him into her side. Paul is attracted to her. Only too late does he realize that he has been drawn under control, and is now at her mercy.
Paul’s hurt drives him into an act of desperation.

REALISATEUR : Né en 1972 à Leiden, il fait des études de littérature allemande et française ainsi que de journalisme en Allemagne et en France. En 1999, il participe à la fondation de la maison de production Risingstar (réalisation d’une quarantaine de courts métrages). En 2001 il réalise Blindgänger, un court métrage, et en 2003 il est assistant à la réalisation de "Full of Energy", un long métrage produit en Ouganda. Son documentaire Menschen brauchen Hobbies est nominé pour le "Silver Wolf Award" au Festival International du Documentaire d’Amsterdam. Il est diplômé de l’école de cinéma de Potsdam-Babelsberg (réalisation) en 2005. Pingpong est son premier long métrage de fiction.
DIRECTOR : Born in 1972 in Leiden, he studied German language and literature studies, French and journalism in Germany and France. In 1999, he is part of the co-foundation of the film production company “risingstar“. In 2001 he directed Blindgänger, a short film, and in 2003 he worked on the directing and the production supervising of the feature film "Full of Energy" produced in Uganda. His documentary Menschen brauchen Hobbies is nominated for the “Silver Wolf Award“ at the Amsterdam International Documentary Film Festival. He graduated in directing from the HFF “Konrad Wolf“ Potsdam-Babelsberg in 2005. Pingpong is his first feature film.
