4 films from the 57th Semaine de la Critique are hits on French screens

SHÉHÉRAZADE | NOS BATAILLES | SAUVAGE | GUY

Four feature films from the 57th edition of La Semaine de la Critique opened in cinemas between summer and autumn, all of which were a success. Jean-Bernard Marlin’s SHÉHÉRAZADE, from which three of the amateur actors made it to the 2019 César awards Most Promising Actors competition, gathered almost 150,000 spectators. OUR STRUGGLES gathered over 200,000. Guillaume Senez’s moving second film is still in cinemas. Camille Vidal-Naquet’s SAUVAGE gathered more than 45,000 spectators. Felix Maritaud, very much the revelation of the film, is also one of the 2019 César Most Promising Actors. And finally, Alex Lutz’s GUY, a moving mockumentary on the singer Guy Jamet, gathered more than 175,000 spectators.
